About

hello there!

My name is Barb and I love knitting. I also love dying yarn. It didn’t take me long to realize I could dye yarn much faster than I could knit it. In order to keep doing what I love I decided to share my dyed creations by selling them to my fellow fibre lovers. Lately I have been discovering the joy and challenges in creating my own patterns for knit projects. These patterns are available on Ravelry.

Being an avid knitter, I only use high quality dyes and fibres that I would love to knit with. My dyed skeins feature fibres of baby alpaca, silk, cashmere and merino wool, and are suitable for knitting/crocheting socks, shawls, sweater, hats, mitts and anything requiring fingering weight yarn.

I live in the small town of Southampton located on the shores of Lake Huron. Many of my colour inspirations for my yarn come from the beautiful scenery that surrounds me.

If you’re interested in seeing my dyed skeins in-person, please check out my list of upcoming events. In addition to my hand dyed skeins, I also sell knitting-themed bento bags, greeting cards and hand-made stitch markers.

Follow my blog or connect with me on social media to see what I’ve been up to in my dye studio!
