Rescheduled Events

A new normal in these ever-uncertain times seems to be rescheduled events. This month I was scheduled to do a trunk show at Serenity Knits in New Market. This show will be rescheduled but no date has been set as of yet. I look forward to planning another date for the show with Sheila once our current health crisis is under control. The Sunshine Fibre Festival has been rescheduled to July 25 from May 2. I am looking forward to… Read More »Rescheduled Events

Toronto Knitters Frolic Cancelled

  • by

It is with a sad heart that I write this post to tell you that the Toronto Knitters Frolic has been cancelled this year. The frolic organizers did not make this decision lightly. They used the information they had available to them to make the best decision possible in light of COVID-19. The organizers informed me of their decision on Sunday, March 15. Today, March 17, Doug Ford has declared a state of emergency in the province of Ontario. This… Read More »Toronto Knitters Frolic Cancelled

The venue for the KW Knitters’ Fair 2019 is large, well organized and the event coordinators work hard to curate a good variety of vendors. I hope you will make time in your busy schedules to attend. If you do, stop by my table in the Mirco Market and say hello. Last… Read More »KW Knitters’ Fair 2019

Three Sisters Knit and South Beach Yarn Co

Last week I shared with you that Margaret and Shelagh from Three Sisters Knit stopped by our table at KYAFF (Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Festival). We had a lovely chat and while we were chatting, Shelagh fell in love with one of our skeins of baby alpaca, cashmere and silk yarn. I wasn’t surprised as this yarn is super soft and wonderful in every way. Yes, I am a little biased 😉 but I’m not the only one who loves this… Read More »Three Sisters Knit and South Beach Yarn Co

South Beach Yarn Co at KYAFF

This past weekend we had the pleasure of being one of 80+ vendors at the KYAFF (Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Festival). KYAFF was a single day event held on June 8, it was well attended by knitters, crocheters, spinners and felters. My  booth was located in the micro market which is an area designed specifically for small companies like mine.  I met so many wonderful, creative people. Two of which were Shelagh and Margaret from the Three Sisters Knit podcast on YouTube.… Read More »South Beach Yarn Co at KYAFF

Find Your Fade with South Beach Yarn Co.

While getting ready to attend the Kawartha Yarn and Fibre Festival,  I decided to photograph some of my yarns for my Facebook and Instagram accounts.  I thought it would be fun make up some ‘Find Your Fade’ combinations with my yarn. If you are planning on attending the festival I urge you to visit my booth early to get the best selection of  yarn. I’m a small indie dyer and I dye my yarn in small batches. I don’t often… Read More »Find Your Fade with South Beach Yarn Co.
