It’s winter in April. I can’t believe it! Spring is taking its time arriving this year. On Facebook people are joking it’s January 108th or something like that and I can’t help but smirk at the sarcasm.
Actually, it’s April 18 and yesterday while walking my grand-fur baby I took this picture of a snowman on my neighbor’s front yard. The wind was blowing and it was snowing. Don’t get me wrong, I quite like winter and all the fun activities that go with the season but winter in April is too much for me to bear. My bird feeders are seeing a frenzy of activity as many of the summer birds have come back from down south. Keeping the bird feeder stocked is a daily activity. The poor Robins are hopping around on the snow unable to find worms. This weather is a mess!
Thankfully I have my yarn to keep me warm! Right now I’m making the Birkin sweater by Caitlin Hunter. I just love this pattern. The colors I’ve chosen remind me of spring. So even though it’s dreary and cold outside, my knitting is bright and cheery.
